As a Senior Associate of the firm, having practiced exclusively in family law for over a decade, Belinda is skilled at taking a pragmatic and holistic approach for her clients by analysing the issues and finding the best possible solutions for her clients.
Always finding opportunities to looks for areas of common ground, a key characteristic of Belinda’s approach is to listen to and identify the underlying goals of her clients early so she can steer them towards solutions and away from confrontation, where it can be avoided.
With specialist experience all facets of family law, Belinda has a particular interest in parenting matters involving grandparents.
Belinda considers it is privilege to be assisting, caring for and guiding people through relationship breakdown, recognizing it can be an inherently challenging time for them. She finds great reward in helping people to take the right steps to allow them to move forward with confidence.
With a strong community focus, Belinda regularly volunteers at Women’s Legal Service and has provided ongoing mentorship to a law student as part of the Women Lawyers Association Mentoring Program. Her commitment to the broader community also saw her volunteer at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Outside of work, Belinda enjoys travelling, good food and wine and going to the theatre. She maintains balance of a busy work life by keeping active with regular gym exercise of weights, boxing and Pilates.
