Charlotte is a conscientious, inquisitive and thoughtful family lawyer who has over six years experience advising, caring for and guiding people experiencing relationship breakdown.
She provides considered and practical advice to her clients, working closely with both of the firms’ directors, Tony Phillips and Fiona Caulley.
With a genuine passion for family law, particularly property matters, where the majority of her recent experience has been, Charlotte is a responsible and committed lawyer who is utterly dependable.
Having worked exclusively in both boutique family law and commercial law firms since September 2011, from regional Mackay, where she hails from, Toowoomba, and now based in Brisbane, Charlotte is well apprised of the court processes.
Charlotte has a particular interest in property matters, including those involving rural interests, third parties and intergenerational interest, parenting matters, including relocation and matters involving domestic violence.
The invaluable past experience Charlotte possesses of both commercial and criminal law gives her a greater understanding of the broader commercial and other issues that often intersect when solving problems encountered by those clients she assists.
Always enjoying the challenge of analyzing problems and finding solutions for her clients, Charlotte derives satisfaction from bringing a sense of calm to the chaos and achieving tangible, practical results for the people she assists.
Charlotte’s relatable, down to earth and measured approach and her ability to develop rapport and gain the trust of those she assists makes her a pleasure to deal with.
With a strong focus on community service, Charlotte has a considerable history volunteering her expertise, including as a past Treasurer of Toowoomba Children’s Contact Service and in the community legal sector. Charlotte now regularly volunteers at the Women’s Legal Service.
Outside of work Charlotte enjoys watching films and listening to music and spending time with family and friends. Since completing the Kokoda track in 2015 she has developed an interest in hiking and hopes to undertake another trek in the near future.
